Yvan Henaine, known in the underground electronic scene as Nomad, is a Dj,producer, promoter, event organiser and entrepreneur based in Playa del Carmen Mexico.
With every generation of electronic music come new sounds, styles and a wave of hungry producers that push the evolution of scene further. Yvan Henanine (Nomad), is a global ambassador of the Deep Tech / Minimal sound and driving force of Mexico’s vibrant dance scene where he is best known as impresario and resident DJ of the iconic “Usual Sundays” party series at Hostel 3B in Playa del Carmen. For music lovers world wide, Usual Sundays has become one of the most sought after dance events in the Mayan Riviera and has hosted over 100 international underground artists. Nomad’s love affair with electronic music began in Ibiza, where he channeled his passion for music and late nights on the dancefloor into a multi-season career promoting parties for the top super clubs on the island. Upon returning to Mexico, passion soon evolved into curiosity, leading to gigs across Mexico, invitations to play at the world renowned BPM festival in Playa Del Carmen two years in a row, with a an upcoming return to BPM Costa Rica in 2020, Carl Cox’s Birthday at Space Ibiza (2016), Rebels Cave at Sankeys Ibiza (2017), two South American tours with over 25 dates including coveted venues such as Aurora Festival in Mendoza, Barghein (Buenos Aires), Baum & Armando Records (Bogota), Lost Beach (Montañita) alongside Laura Jones and multiple shows across Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Argentina. Additionally, Nomad closed out the Incendia Dome at Burning man 2019 for the talented Mr. C and John Aquaviva. Early 2020 before the Covid-19 outbreak, Nomad had his first Australian tour. Playing in some of the most important underground parties of the country, S.A.S.H by night in Sydney, and killing it in Melbourne at The Breakfast Club and the most iconic club of the area, Revolver. As a producer Nomad’s inaugural EP released at the beginning of 2017 with Harvibal. Later that year he followed up with a second EP which was released with 1994 Music. Nomad is showing no signs of slowing down in 2018 with the launch of his very own record label, SOSrec, a platform for guests DJs of Usual Sundays to release unique tracks and minimal sounds heard at the SOS Lounge. Additional releases for Nomad include tracks with Frankov (Frucht Music), Luixar KL (Low Groove Records), an EP with Stefano Noferini´s new label DPE, and another for Draft music from talented Roberto Apodaca.
